_grau was released on the on-going DVD series Geschichte des deutschen Animationsfilms / History of German Animation on Disc #5 Zeitgenossen / Contemporary curated by Ulrich Wegenast, artistic director of ITFS featuring Oscar-winning films like Balance or Quest. The other discs are highly recommended as well, showing a diverse range of experimental, political and commercial work beginning in the 1920s.

Rechenzentrum 2.0 and I will open the Re-* festival at Akademie der Künste Berlin on 26th Feb. While the festival artists as well as theorists will discuss their ideas about recyling, sampling and jamming.

I'm going to present my new virtual sculpture vellum at COMO run by Art Center Nabi on the 19th of February in Seoul. My opening talk is followed by a "live painting" with music provided by Ritornell at Kimchi Electronique night. The retrospective exhibition of my experimental films (2/20 - 3/31/2009) will be shown on the gigantic multiscreen setup at the COMO SKT-Tower. More on vellum soon...

After Nokia some positive news: On the 9th of February will be another No Accident in Paradise, this time in the Liquid Sound System of Bad Schandau. Human Paint is featured in current issue of Page magazine (2/09) and E3 got published on rüts004 DVD by Belgian label Meakusma.

Before more people start to ask - no I didn't work for Psyop/Nokia, they just "referenced" my work without asking. I'm still a bit confused/sad about that and caught in naive daydreaming, what I could have done with such a budget...

But since starving artist don't have anything to give but their work, I just put up the full HD version of appearing disappearance free for a happy christmas :-) As part of the HD project Advanced Beauty it recently was released on DVD only. But since it looses all its detail, I think it's essential to see what I originall intended in the year 2007...
