Just a quick note: The DVD "Max Hattler Vs Robert Seidel" will be out on japanese label Uplink and Max is presenting it at Superdeluxe. More updates soon, but first Wundergrund (see below).
I'm going to perform at Wundergrund Festival with rechenzentrum 2.0 (Marc Weiser, Lillevan isn't part of Rechenzentrum anymore) an the danish ensemble contemporanea in Berlin (30th October) and Copenhagen (7th Nov). Here Tierschmier sketch of the live paintings. We also do a talk at The Royal Danish Academy of Music (6th Nov).
I’m looking for a flat in Berlin a bit desperately, since the good and payable ones are exchanged on the quiet. If you know a small 2 room apartment in an area better than the one on the picture "Wanderer above the Sea of Flats", please drop me a line and I'll send you my requirements like Jaccuzi, helicopter landing site and backyard forrest :)
Ehrensenf, one of the best known german podcasts featured the Advanced Beauty project, showing appearing disappearance ... All films will be finally released on Blu-Ray end of this year! And I got blogged at EYE and FRAME magazine, Yanko as well as Archilight ...
Mixed news ... too many links: processes: living paintings is featured in IdN v15n3 (The Exhibition Issue: Show / Design) on DVD and in the magazine... An Interview while the Japan Tour with Max Hattler was produced by UIT VISUALS for japanese music television station MJTV... And I'll be creating "living paintings" for my friend Toci and his long planned No Accident in Paradise project at the Glashaus featuring Stachy (aka [micro:form] and member of the amazing but now defunct band Fischmob), Albrecht Ziepert and Toci's ambient DJ alter ego Inannia.
I'll be in the jury of the clipaward of backup_festival (18. - 22. June 2008, Weimar, Germany) ... Futures won the 1st prize for music videos last year there ...
I'm back from the Japan Tour with Max Hattler! It was an exciting as well as exhausting experience: 23 screenings, talks and performances in Film festivals, Universities, Art Spaces and Cinemas around Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyoto and Kobe within 5 weeks is definitively no holiday trip ... Even though it was more a rushing and floating for me, I met a lot of nice people along the way, enjoyed the deliciously sculptural food and bits & pieces of japanese culture hidden in a world of dense architecture & crowds of people, shopping craziness, multi-layered noise and neon lights. Due to our hard schedule I missed exploring so many things ... so I guess I'll come back with more time ... Interviews: Shift, White-Screen, PingMag
Last days have been quite busy, Max Hattler and I have been doing the closing performance of 20th Filmfest Dresden, flying to Japan for a 5 week tour and already did presentations at Pecha Kucha Night ... I feel quite overwhelmed from Tokyo at the moment, all the light, noises, people and strangely-amazing food...
I just did an interview for japanese SHIFT magazine ... speaking about my work and the upcoming japan tour ...
Max Hattler and I will be doing a Japan Tour from April, 22 to May, 27. We’ll be showing our films, giving talks at art spaces, film festivals and art colleges as well as doing collaborative visual live performances in Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka and Nagoya. If you are near, please come by and if you want to meet or book us, just drop a line. We are really excited!
